FIFA 16 FEATURE FEMALE CHARACTER PLAYERS

FIFA 16 is the first video game to feature playable female characters, and Christine Sinclair, captain with Vancouver’s future stars, helped launch the game at the Vancouver Best Buy store.

Sinclair was joined earlier this week by members of the North Shore Girls Soccer Club to present the game, which officially went on sale in stores and online on September 22. Sinclair is featured on the game cover, along with Lionel Messi. The pair were selected by popular vote, and Sinclair also marks the first female to grace the cover in the video game’s franchise.

FIFA 2016, published by Burnaby’s Electronic Arts studio, will include 12 women’s national teams, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, England, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Sweden, and the U.S.

Reportedly, game designers used motion capture of famous American forwards in order to get the female player motions correct.

Christine Sinclair helped launched FIFA 16 at the Vancouver Best Buy along with lucky members of the North Shore Girls Soccer Club.
